How to read a fastbreak

What should you be looking for on a 2 on 1 fast break?

When on a fast break in a 2 on 1 situation there are 3️⃣ reads: ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

🏀🥇First read: if the defensive player has no shoulders facing you (the ball handler) then you MUST finish or else it will result in a turnover!

🏀🥈Second read: if the defender has one shoulder facing you and the other facing your teammate, Finish, finish, finish!

🏀🥉Third read: if the defense has two shoulder facing you, then you should pass because your teammate is wide open!

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

1. 🏀P R O P E R S P A C I N G
Space the floor! If you aren’t spaced, then the defense can guard you and your teammate easily.

2. 🏀Remember YOU are the first option to score. If the defender senses you are afraid to score, then they won’t commit to you. #IQ #CHOSENTRAINING #BASKETBALLIQ #basketballskillsdevelopment #BAYAREA
